Mexico

Rob Minton

Founded in 1993, CrossRoads Missions serves as a conduit for churches and individuals to provide meaningful ministry opportunities and make an impact for the Kingdom of Christ. Over a quarter million people have served with us throughout the United States and Mexico in our permanent fields in Piedras Negras, Mexico, New Orleans, Eastern Kentucky Appalachia Mountains, Western Kentucky and Louisville. Also, our Help Build Hope ministry brings volunteers together to build walls for affordable houses. We have now been a part of building over 1600 homes
These experiences not only enhance our local ministry partners but greatly challenge those who participate to consider deeper involvement in ministry both in the world and their own communities. We use construction, Medical missions, Education to reach out to underserved communities with the love of Christ.
Rob Minton and his sister Judy (Minton) Lopez are so very appreciative of the tremendous partner, Northside has been over the last 30+ years.

I have been a living link missionary of Northside Christian Church for 31 years. Carlos and I have two children Cindy and Laura. Cindy and her husband Mario live in Louisville, KY and Laura lives in Piedras Negras. We have lived and ministered  in Piedras Negras Mexico since 1992.

For many years I helped to start and directed 3 Christian schools in the city. They currently run between 500-700 students each.

I am now the field director for the CrossRoads Mexico team.  Our team has grown this year and I am so blessed to work with amazing people.  God always provides for His work to be accomplished. This year we have been blessed by 3, year long interns. They are so young and  talented and have been a  huge blessing to me.

Crossroads has been building affordable homes  for christian families since 1991.  This year we completed house #36.

Our team also works with the immigrant population coming through our border city by providing shelter, food, friendship and a church family!  1000s of people from all over the world have stayed at Carlos’ “ranch” over the last couple of years.  I love meeting and serving these people.  By the time they make it to us they are completely exhausted and often sick. There are families that are only with us for a few days but others stay for months and we are able to minister to them in a very special way. God connects us to people who need us the most and because of Northside we are able to meet many of their basic needs.

This year, CrossRoads  started an English school and our interns help us teach. I have always loved teaching children and now really enjoy teaching adults.

Crossroads partners with Bethany Christian Church that ministers to local families as well as to the very transient community of immigrants. We also partner with Casa de Paz, a children’s home in our city.  We would love for you to come and visit or intern with us. God Bless you Northside!  Thank you for enabling me to serve in Piedras Negras.

Vida Nueva Ministries

Vida Nueva Ministries.jpg

We exist to assist the people of Mexico in developing and cultivating a personal relationship with Jesus and operate practical programs that help build a relationship bridge with people so that the love of Christ can be shared and His salvation received. The programs and methods we use will change as conditions change, but the message of salvation and hope found in Jesus Christ will never change.

As an independent Christian ministry and not a social agency, our programs are designed for practical positive impact toward physical, social, moral need, and do so in order to nurture the affected individual’s or community’s receptiveness to learning more about the Savior in whose Name these needful actions are done. Everything we do is designed to enhance opportunities to address the eternal, spiritual needs of the individual.

Vida Nueva directs such ministries as food distribution, health care, child care, education, worship, recreation, vocational skills training, church planting and church leadership development programs. All of these programs serve to connect people with Christ so that He can bring them hope and freedom from the vicious cycle of poverty and spiritual emptiness from which many suffer.

As God leads and provides, we will expand our programs and grow our ministry in order to reach as many of the Mexican people as possible.
