Decorations - Foyer
Leader: Emily Wiedeman
Number of Volunteers needed: 10
Dates needed: Thursday, November 6 at 4:30 p.m., Friday, November 7 at 9:30 a.m. (if needed). Also, prep work leading up to November 7
This team will be decorating the main foyer. Most of the decorations will be hanging from the ceiling so volunteers should be comfortable on a ladder or on the lift. There will be lots of balloons to inflate with an electric pump or hand pump. If possible, please plan to take down the decorations on Friday after Jesus Prom is finished.

Decorations - Hallways
Leader: Brent Dansby
Number of Volunteers needed: 12
Dates needed: Thursday, November 6 at 4:00 p.m.
This team will be decorating the hallway outside of the office area and the hallway outside of the banquet hall. There will be backdrops to hang on walls, raindrop garlands to hang, 4 balloons stands to create, set up of a mini café with centerpieces, and hanging umbrellas from the atrium (this may take place earlier in the week). If possible, please plan to take down the decorations on Friday after Jesus Prom is finished.

Decorations - Banquet Hall
Leader: Sara Ragone
Number of Volunteers needed: 4
Dates needed: Thursday, November 6 at 4:30-6:30 p.m.
The banquet hall will be decorated for Jesus Prom’s dinner. This includes setting up and decorating 21 tables with tablecloths, place settings, and themed décor. Decorating will begin after the setup crew completes the furniture arrangement. Preassembled clouds and additional decorations will be hung above each table. Most décor elements will be prepared in advance, prior to November 6.

Gifts
Leader: Noreen Fauss
Number of Volunteers needed: 5
Dates needed: 2 – 3 hours the week before prom
Volunteers for the Gifts team will meet one day the week before Jesus Prom to assemble gifts for all the guests. The date and time will be shared closer to the event. Please expect to spend 2-3 hours on this task.

Setup & Tear Down
Leader: Brian Wood
Number of Volunteers needed: 10
Dates needed: Thursday, November 6 at 4:00 p.m. and Friday, November 7 at 8:00 p.m.
Team members will set up banquet tables and chairs in both the banquet hall and upstairs caregiver’s room. The team will also setup extra tables needed in photography room, hospitality, and throughout the church where the prom will be held. Tear down on Friday will begin at 8:00 p.m. in the banquet hall. Everything is then done in reverse.

Caregiver's Room
Leaders: Will and Nancy Hawkins
Number of Volunteers needed: 14
Dates needed: Thursday, November 6 at 4:00-5:30 p.m. for set up and Friday, November 7 at 5:30 p.m. until room is cleaned.
Team members will serve dinner to the parents and caregivers of our guests and help provide a place where they can relax during the event.

Childcare
Leader: Tammy Akin-Stevanus
Number of Volunteers needed: 8
Date needed: Friday, November 7 at 5:15 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
The Childcare Team provides care for the volunteer’s children while they are serving during the event. Childcare is for those age 12 and younger. The nursery is used for those age 4 and younger. The children 5 – 12 will be upstairs in a designated room throughout the evening. A snack will be provided for the older children.

Games
Leaders: Vicki Whitacre and Nicholas Whitacre
Number of Volunteers needed: 22
Date needed: Friday, November 7 at 5:30 p.m.
Team members will show the guests how to play the games and assist them as they play the carnival-style games. The team members will observe safety procedures to ensure that all guests have a great time. At the end of the evening, team members will help with game clean up. Volunteers will receive a T-shirt to wear to identify them as the Games team.

Guides
Leader: Faith Williams
Number of Volunteers needed: 160
Dates needed: Friday, November 7 at 5:30 p.m.
Team members will assist our guests throughout the evening, helping them to enjoy all the different activities that are offered. Right after our guests enter the building and receive their red-carpet experience, we will pair the guests with the guides. Although this team’s 5:30 arrival time is imperative, the good news is all the guides will be provided dinner with their guest. As well as dining with the guest, guides will also help their guest to experience everything this evening offers—from getting their pictures taken to karaoke, games, and dancing! This team may leave tired, but also with some very special memories! (There will be several emails and letters with specific details sent before the night of the prom.)

Hair & Makeup
Leader: Buffy Ramos
Number of Volunteers needed: 3
Dates needed: Friday, November 7 at 5:30-5:45 p.m.
Team members will provide professional hair services to guests who desire to have their hair styled. Some members will apply makeup. All team members must be licensed.

Hospitality
Leaders: Mary Beth and Jim Jensen
Number of Volunteers needed: 8
Dates needed: Friday, November 7 at 5:00 p.m.
Team members will welcome and give information to the guests and caregivers. This will include providing directions as guests enter the building, handing out name tags to those registered for the caregiver’s room, supplying water bottles, and distributing take home gifts at the end of the evening.

Host & Hostess
Team Leaders: Doug and Paula Lewis
Number of Volunteers needed: 6
Dates needed: Friday, November 7 at 5:15 p.m.
Team members will greet the guests at the banquet hall door and take them safely to their seat. Seating ends at 8:00 p.m. However, team members are asked to stay and help the servers clean up the banquet hall.

Karaoke
Team Leader: Ken Ekers
Number of Volunteers needed: unlimited
Dates needed: Friday, November 7 at 5:15 p.m.
Team members will meet in the “Bingo Room” (the first room on the left as you enter the North Entrance doors) for instructions. Before 6:00 p.m. you will form a welcome line at the front doors for the guests to pass through as you cheer and encourage them. Afterward, you will go to the Worship Center and cheer on the guests as they perform some of their favorite songs. The last guests will perform at 9:15 p.m. We will then join everyone on the dance floor for the last dance and balloon drop. Parent volunteers are invited to bring their children with them provided they are supervised at all times.

Kitchen
Team Leaders: Dave and Mary Ann Balas
Number of Volunteers needed: 9
Dates needed: Friday, November 7 between 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. (team members arrive at staggered times)
Team members can wear black and white clothing. Team will assist the cooks by dishwashing and transferring the food to the buffet. Food will be served buffet style. Team members will help clean up the kitchen after all guests have eaten.

Medical
Team Leader: Sheryl Wichterman
Number of Volunteers needed: 4
Dates Needed: Friday, November 7 at 5:30 p.m. until guests have left the building
Team members will need to be present throughout the evening in case of a medical emergency. You must be a registered nurse or certified EMT or higher. Volunteers will receive a t-shirt to wear to identify their position on the medical team.

Paparazzi
Team Leaders: Katlin and Aaron Williams
Number of Volunteers needed: 8
Dates needed: Friday, November 7 at 5:30 p.m.
Team members will line the red carpet and take pictures as our guests enter the front doors and take candid photos through the night. Members should have a digital camera with a flash and SD card or equivalent so pictures can be uploaded and the card returned. Pictures taken from a phone cannot be transferred.

Photography
Team Leaders: Ray and Debbie Ruprecht
Number of Volunteers needed: 4
Dates needed: Friday, November 7 at 5:45 p.m.
Photography assistants will greet the guests, record their name, direct guest where to stand, and then guide them to the exit. Photography room closes at 8:45 p.m. Please plan to stay until the room is clean and the photographer is packed up.

Security & Parking Lot
Team Leaders: Dave and Laura Singleton
Number of Volunteers needed: 8. Minimum age: 21
Dates needed: Friday, November 7 at 5:00 p.m.
Team members will help direct traffic and greet guests as they arrive in the parking lot. Also, they will direct the traffic flow in the drop-off area to keep 2 lines moving at all times. After the guests have arrived, the team will provide security inside the building by working with other team members to monitor the church for safety and security concerns, address and report issues as necessary, make any emergency announcements and contact 911 dispatcher. There is a mandatory meeting in the week before the prom. Members will receive a t-shirt to identify them as being a part of this team.

Servers
Team Leader: Paula Hart
Number of Volunteers needed: 11
Dates needed: Friday, November 7 at 5:30 p.m.
Team members will assist the guests after they are seated at a table by the hosts. They will help the guests by providing drinks and serving their dessert. When someone is finished eating and leaves the table, the server will remove all plates, placemats, etc. and put down clean placemats and cutlery for the next guest. The server will then notify the team leader that spaces are now available. Please wear black slacks and white tops. Please remain after the guests are finished eating to help clear tables and clean up the banquet hall.
