  • MEDINA LIGHT MINISTRIES has been proclaiming the Good News of Jesus to men and women behind bars since 1992.  Larry and Susan Jarvis walked into the newly-built jail in 1996 and the ministry immediately tripled in size, leading Larry to leave his day job and commit to fulltime ministry.  In l999, the Juvenile Center opened and Susan has been there as the chaplain ever since.  This has been an exhilarating, challenging, miracle-laden ministry that never has a dull moment.  In these past three decades, we have talked to thousands of inmates, operated a women's halfway house for fourteen years, helped with marriages, officiated at funerals, helped with two baby deliveries, led a rough-and-tumble choir, started a newsletter for those in prison and jail called Uncuffed, and have continued to enthusiastically talk about Jesus, Jesus, Jesus!

INTERNATIONAL MISSIONS

  • Brian and Tabitha Hauser work with CMF in West Africa to start a disciple making movement among the Jula. The Jula are an ethnic group who are 99% Muslim and have been resistant to the gospel historically. With their team, Brian and Tabitha announce the gospel through Chronological Bible Storying.

They build relationships in the community and demonstrate Christ’s love through CHE (Community Health Evangelism) and agricultural development like “Farming God’s Way. You can reach Brian at BrianHauser@cmfi.org or (765) 407-1548

  • Don Tingle is the Executive Director of COMENSERV, which works mainly in Muslim regions of the world. He is currently the volunteer Director of Kenya Christian Industrial Training Institute (KCITI College) in the Eastleigh section of Nairobi. KCITI teaches job skills to poor young people who come from the nearby Somali neighborhood, Mathare slums, and other parts of the city. Most students receive some kind of scholarship assistance. They can participate in one year, two year, and three year training programs in the fields of Hospitality (culinary arts), Hair & Beauty, Automotive Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Early Childhood Development Education, and Building & Civil Engineering. We also provide a two-year certificate for about 20 poor preachers from all over Kenya--all expenses paid for these preachers. The college was started by Christians in 1992. Tingle's goal is to make the college the best education institution possible for the surrounding Somali Muslim population as well as disadvantaged youth in nearby slums. You can read more about the college at our Web site www.kciti.edu or follow us on Facebook at Kciti Campus.

  • Gabo and Barbara work in Granada, Spain.

Both of them came to the Lord in Caracas, Venezuela, where they were born and raised. In Caracas, God not only called them into the mission field, but also helped them to take our first steps into ministry. By His grace, they helped plant two churches, and also aided in equipping preachers, training others and served alongside the missionaries working with Team Expansion in Venezuela.

They have been serving in Spain since 2016, taking part in a team that is located in the south of Spain in the city of Granada. Their team’s goal is to see a disciple-making movement (DMM) and church-planting movement (CPM) in their state (Granada) by the year 2024. They are also pushing forward a coalition to help others see a DMM or CPM in their states (17 in total) by the end of 2032. They've named this the Coalition 1700.

They have embraced this strategy because statistically, Spain is currently is the least evangelized country in the Spanish speaking world. More than 90% of the towns and villages are still without a Christian presence and around 10 million Spaniards (about 20% of the population) have not yet heard the Gospel. teamexpansion.org/ayala/

  • Currently Israel pastors a congregation of 55 adults and children meeting in a neighborhood church in Cancun. They also have 15 young people who meet every Saturday. With adult leadership, they learn about the teachings of the Bible in a way that speaks to their age level and gives them encouragement. They also share food and experiences with each other. The youth leader is responsible for letting us know if there are any issues that need to be addressed by the church. As people in their neighborhood learn more about Christ, they are becoming baptized believers.

  • Judy has been a living link missionary of Northside Christian Church for 31 years. Carlos and Judy have two children Cindy and Laura. Cindy and her husband Mario live in Louisville, KY and Laura lives in Piedras Negras. They have lived and ministered  in Piedras Negras Mexico since 1992.

For many years she has helped to start and directed 3 Christian schools in the city. They currently run between 500-700 students each.

Judy is now the field director for the CrossRoads Mexico team. Crossroads has been building affordable homes for christian families since 1991. This year we completed house #36.

Judy's team also works with the immigrant population coming through our border city by providing shelter, food, friendship and a church family!  1000s of people from all over the world have stayed at Carlos’ “ranch” over the last couple of years. By the time they make it to us they are completely exhausted and often sick. There are families that are only with us for a few days but others stay for months and we are able to minister to them in a very special way. God connects us to people who need us the most and because of Northside we are able to meet many of their basic needs.

This year, CrossRoads started an English school and our interns help us teach. Judy has always loved teaching children and now really enjoy teaching adults.

Crossroads partners with Bethany Christian Church that ministers to local families as well as to the very transient community of immigrants. They also partner with Casa de Paz, a children’s home in our city. crossroadsmissions.com/multi-day-opportunities/serve_mexico/

  • Mushayamunda Christian Foundation was formed in early 2000 by the Mushayamunda Brothers and their families, Dereck (Yvonne), Dennis (Girlie) and to serve the people of Matsai area in Bikita, Zimbabwe. The brothers were inspired to start the organization in honor of their late parents Tangston (Matangira) and Sipelile (Mai Lee) who loved the people and who were faithful servants to the people of Matsai.

MCF seeks to partner with like minded people and churches/organizations to create inspired serving opportunities directed towards disadvantaged communities, especially orphans and widows whose life processes have been changed by the prevalence of AIDS and poverty in Zimbabwe. For a few dollars a day you can support life changing ministry efforts towards orphaned children, support the availability of clean drinking water, augment food availability by developing irrigation/gardening projects, buying basic food stuff to feed the hungry while carrying out the great commission as envisaged in Mathew 28.
