SKILLS INFORMATION

Campers will have the opportunity to pick from a variety of different engaging skills to help them prepare for their future.

  • Trek through the wilderness on the Quest!   

    On Monday our adventurers will have the opportunity to go on a quest through the wilderness! On their journey they will see all sorts of animals God has created and have the opportunity to interact with these animals. We will learn about how God showed his disciples how to fish for men! Luke 5:1-11 

  • Voyage in the water on the Quest! 

    Our adventurers will have a chance to build their own boat to help them on their Kingdom Quest. Teams will work together to construct boats for their team and have a chance to sail their boats on their very own voyage! We will learn about how Jesus walked on water, and while we as humans cannot do that, we can learn what it takes to make a boat float! Matthew 14:22-33

  • Discover what it means to be a team on the Quest! 

    Adventurers can choose one of these three options for our sports day. In all activities, they will be encouraged to work together, get active, and have fun! As we learn about the ultimate sacrifice, Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection. Adventurers will be taught how we can be good teammates (which sometimes means sacrificing for those around us)! We are called to lift each other up and love each other like Jesus! Luke 23:32-45, 55-56 

  • Learn how to shine your light on the Quest!  

    Adventurers will get the chance to explore a firetruck, police car, and even an ambulance! Not only will they be able to see these life-saving vehicles in person, but they will also learn how they can be prepared to help during various situations. We will discuss Peter’s denial and restoration, much like the light of a lamp, Jesus can restore our “light” after it’s been turned off or burned out, even if we make a mistake. Our adventurers will have a chance to create their own lights to help them find Jesus on their Kingdom Quest. Matthew 26:31-35, 69-75; Mark 16:6-7; John: 21:15-19 

  • Share God’s victory from the Kingdom Quest!  

    Throughout the week, adventurers will be given time with their small groups to practice a group act for their village talent show that will take place during their skill time on Friday. They can come up with an act that involves singing, dancing, skits, magic, or whatever else their creative minds can conjure up! We can’t wait to see our small groups work together to put on a show full of the gifts and passions that God has uniquely created them to have!  Acts: 2
